When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.
- Helen Keller

I remember you always used to talk about someday having a great, big front porch with a rocking chair where you could sit and watch the world around you.  I keep trying to find the perfect one, the one that reminds me most of you.  And I'll keep looking until I find it.  I know that you've got the best view now, from Heaven, but one day I'll find that perfect porch, one I know you would've loved.  I miss you every day.  I love you. God places the heaviest burden on those who can carry its weight.
- Reggie White

We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path.
- Paulo Coelho

Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone-we find it with another.
-Thomas Merton

The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.
-Douglas MacArthur

Randomness

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
